RT809H software need to update for parallel NOR flash erase

I have RT809H programmer. I met a problem during programing Spansion parallel parts (S29GP256P, S28GL256S, S29GL256N,...)

I checked the operations with a sample part and found the followings.

1.      the Read Operation: the OK
2.      Verification: OK
3.      Blank check operation: OK
4.      Program operation with an empty part: OK
5.      Program operation with a non-empty part: Error
6.      Erase operation: Error

I checked the logic signals with logic analyzer on a socket board for investigating erase operation in more detail.

Based on the logic signal, Ready/Busy# signal is not going to low an all the time high after issuing Erase command into S29GL256S. So RT809H think Erase operation is completed and stopped and issue Read command to verify.

I checked Program operation with an empty part. Erase command will be issued first during Program operation. With the same reason with the above, Erase operation is not going well. However, since the part is already completely erased, the following verification operation was passed. And Then the program operation will be followed. I found Ready/Busy# signal is going to low during program operation unlike erase operation.

Can somebody check RT809H software and fix the error for proper erase operation? If more information is needed, please contact me at kjang@issi.com.


==> Sep/07 update: I checked S29GL256P on 20180630 and 20180731 version RT809H SW tool. And I couldn't see any program and erase issue.  Cleared.

The writing and erasing of the s29gl128p tsop56 chip does not work. Please correct in the update.

The problem is no more. There was a defect in the adapter.
